What is Hungarian Wellness Mud:
In the historical year of 1890, Hungarian Wellness Mud was discovered in a remote area 130-kilometers south east of Budapest. Since this discovery the mud’s curing effect has become legendary for treating a vast range of ailments, for face and body therapy, and as an effective natural anti-ageing treatment.
Hungarian wellness mud is labeled ‘curative’ by the Hungarian Ministry of Health, and since 1956 has been the only therapeutic mud authorized to be used in all medicinal spas in Hungary. There are over 50 years of documented clinical trials regarding Hungarian Wellness Mud.
High quantities of Silicon Dioxide (over 60%) are contained in Hungarian Wellness Mud, which promotes firmness and strength in the tissues. Collagen contains silicon, which helps hold the body tissues together. The beneficial effects of mud therapy are based on stimulatory effect of heat on nerve endings as well as chemical, immune and hormonal functions of the skin. The mud's iron and sulfur content stimulates blood flow in both the deep and superficial skin tissue layers.
At treatment level temperatures, the mud has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and (fluid) reduction effects. In particular, topical application of cold mud reduces the activation of pain-sensitive nerve and lowers nerve conduction.

Your choice of Serene, Euphoria or Tranquil essential oil blends mixed with our Hungarian Wellness mud will be applied to your entire body in a thin silky layer. Then you will be wrapped in a thermal sheet for 20-25 minutes so the minerals can penetrate the skin and absorb into the blood stream. Finally you will be transferred to our claw foot tub for another 20 minute soak while you rub the mud against your skin for extra exfoliation. (70 Minutes)

Your joint or muscle will be packed and surrounded in several inches of wellness mud then wrapped tightly in a dry sheet or towel and covered for twenty minutes to retain heat. Add this on to any massage treatment and it will release release fibrosis, loosening the knots, thereby enhancing the after effects of your massage.

The Ultimate in Hungarian Wellness Mud Therapies, begin your treatment with a full body dry brush exfoliation. Afterward several inches of mud will be applied to your back and shoulders, your wrists and hips, your knees and then your ankles. Next you are wrapped in thermal blankets and left to relax and soak in the healing minerals for 25-30 minutes. Finally after the mud is removed you begin to soak in our claw foot tub for another 20 minutes while the mud’s amazing properties begin to work on your nervous system, ease internal congestion and effectively stimulate blood circulation.
This treatment is most often used to treat fibromyalgia and other full body nerve and muscle disorders in addition a series of 15 full body mud packs is said to be the most effective form of prevention for any of the aforementioned ailments.
